Intercultural skills: A necessary tool for today's Francophone education

摘要
The objective of this article is to highlight the real needs of teachers in a multicultural institution teaching a French-language curriculum to a multilingual population. The article is based on a study on the adaptation of French educational practices in a Francophone context. It was conducted in 2021 in a country identified here by the letter "X". The study first establishes a theoretical framework defining the profession of teacher as the work of an expert, and then explains the idea of intercultural pedagogy. The study methodology is mixed. It allows the concerns of the teaching staff to be identified while clarifying elements that are essential for the creation of adapted training. The ultimate goal is to ensure that teachers have the ability to practice their profession within a multilingual and multicultural population, while minimizing cultural conflicts.
