摘要
This work aimed to understand digital competencies and emotional intelligence of teachers in continuous training and their perception regarding their ability to put them at the service of a more equitable education. Ninetyeight teachers from two universities in the State of Puebla, Mexico, participated. Data was collected during the 2022-2023 academic year through a specific questionnaire based on the SELFIE tool and the TMMS24. Results show that teachers' digital competencies need to be specifically addressed, and there needs to be more reflection on the needs and social uses of the digitalization of education. In turn, teachers recognize the importance of having the necessary knowledge to consciously, critically, and democratically use technologies in teaching. However, they need the sufficient training required by the new educational paradigm.
