Patients with Atrial Fibrillation receive Anticoagulation to prevent Stroke, currently mostly with direct oral Anticoagulants (DOACs). The Reduction in Stroke Risk through this Therapy is associated with a Bleeding Risk that may limit the Use of DOACs. Inhibition of activated Factor XI (XIa) promises Anticoagulation with less Bleeding
