摘要
Electromagnetic force of homopolar hybrid magnetic bearings (HOHMB) is generally calculated by 3-D finite element method (FEM). However, 3-D FEM is time-consuming due to the large computational volume. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel electromagnetic force calculation method to reduce the computing time. The proposed method transforms 3-D finite element calculation to 2-D finite element calculation by establishing the 2-D equivalent model of the HOHMB. The leakage and fringing flux compensation are considered in the 2-D equivalent model. The experiments of the electromagnetic force measurement are conducted. The electromagnetic force calculated by the proposed method agrees with the experiment results. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified.
