摘要
This research investigates the nexus between a country's international competitiveness, innovation environment, productivity and infrastructure development, with a focus on the Republic of Moldova in comparison to Central European countries. The study emphasizes the pivotal role of competitiveness in enhancing wealth and well-being through policies that boost export-oriented strategies. While acknowledging the significance of innovation in driving competitiveness, findings reveal that Moldova lags behind benchmark countries in innovation indices. The empirical inquiry further explores Moldova's efforts to bolster competitiveness by investing in critical infrastructure, particularly in transportation and telecommunications. Utilizing a comprehensive methodology blending quantitative and qualitative approaches, the research underscores Moldova's modest progress in international competitiveness. Preliminary results highlight governmental initiatives to address challenges hindering productivity, competitive prowess, and crisis resilience. Overall, the study provides insights into the interplay between innovation, infrastructure, and competitiveness, offering a nuanced understanding of Moldova's positioning in the global market.
