摘要
Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) have garnered significant attention in electrocatalytic water splitting due to their unique structures and ease of modification. Currently, platinum nanoparticles (Pt NPs) decorated N-doped carbon encapsulated Co oxides nanorods electrode (NC-Co-O, NC stands for N-doped carbon structure) was prepared from the ZIF-67 MOF by a combined wet chemical and cation deposition method. The Pt NPs modification has notably enhanced the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) performances, particularly in the region of low overpotentials. The optimized Pt13/Co-O-300 sample demonstrates efficient catalytic capability, achieving a reduced HER overpotential of 226 mV at the current density of 100 mA cm-2 (eta 100) with a Tafel slope of 45 mV dec-1 . On the contrary, the NC-Co-400 sample without Pt decoration exhibited a superior OER performance in the high current density region. This work would provide valuable insights for the design of MOF derivatives in EC energy conversion applications.
