(Abstracted from Contraception 2024;132:110373) Many varieties of contraception are effective, and due to a myriad of reasons, many couples prefer nonhormonal contraception. One current investigational nonhormonal contraception is Ovaprene, which is applied monthly and consists of a 55-mm silicone ring with a central permeable barrier that inhibits the passage of sperm while allowing normal fluid passage.
