This paper concentrates on examining the dynamic response coefficients of partial arc journal bearings of 120 degrees and 180 degrees partial angle, working with micropolar fluid. A MATLAB code is developed to solve Modified Reynolds' equation with finite element method. Dynamic response coefficients are computed and presented for the different lubricant parameters and working eccentricities. The computed results illustrate that these input parameters improve the dynamic performance of the partial arc journal bearing system. The presented results provide data for non dimensional stiffness and damping coefficients. These response coefficients may be effectively utilized by the designers in future, for computing the stability and thermal analysis of partial journal bearing system.
