摘要
The stability of both natural and man-made slopes can be enhanced using piles, which take up load from the yielding soil mass and increase the existing factor of safety. The stability of slope reinforced with piles is mainly influenced by the factors such as location, length, spacing-to-diameter ratio, diameter, head condition of the pile, and the interaction between soil and pile. This article provides an extensive overview of numerous studies performed in this field classifying them into static and dynamic analysis. The paper also explores new trends and modifications such as anchored stabilized piles, h-type anti-slide piles, batter piles which are used to enhance the overall stability of slopes. In addition to this, it also accounts for studies devoted to the soil-structure interaction. Lastly, this article aligns the subject with relevant sustainable development goals, emphasizing the significance of slope stabilization utilizing piles in attaining worldwide development goals.
