Iron and steel, building materials, PVC, paper - these are items we use every day, and usually without thinking about how many people and which resources have contributed to their production. One common ingredient is the raw material lime. As an indispensable all-rounder, it is used in countless sectors of the economy and makes an important contribution to environmental protection. The German family -run company SCHAEFER KALK in Hahnstatten, Rhineland-Palatinate, has been mining lime for more than 160 years. Together with HAVER & BOECKER, SCHAEFER KALK is now taking a major step towards resource conservation and sustainability.
