摘要
Adopting low-resolution analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) in antenna arrays can reduce the hardware complexity and circuit power consumption. However, an obvious performance loss is also expected. In this paper, the problem of direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation with mixed-resolution quantization is investigated. First, we introduce the output signal model under mixed-resolution quantization, and utilize the mixed-precision measurements to construct a quantized covariance matrix. Then, a covariance rectification method is proposed to recover the noiseless and low-rank covariance matrix. On this basis, traditional subspace-based approaches are adopted to determine the resulting DOAs. Numerical examples are carried out to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
