摘要
An Efficient hybrid method integrating the Gaussian beam method and ray tracing technique is proposed to analyze the electrical performance of dielectric radome. The propagation of the antenna's aperture field to the inner surface of radome is computed by the adaptive elliptical Gaussian beam decomposition algorithm. SBR based on Poynting vectors is then employed to model the behavior of electromagnetic waves reflecting and transmitting through the medium layers. Near-field results are yielded on the outer surface of the radome and far-field results are derived using the physical optics method. Fewer integral procedures allow fast computation of electrically large radome. Numerical results indicate that this method has significant potential for the application of radome optimization.
