摘要
In this study, 61 agroecological systems across 44 municipalities in the Brazilian semiarid region were analyzed using the LUME method. Results revealed that 10% of the systems demonstrated high ecological reciprocity and profitability, 28% showed low values for both, and 63% exhibited moderate ecological reciprocity but low profitability. Principal Component Analysis identified the Agroecological Index, Monetary Profitability, and Autonomy as key factors driving system performance. The findings highlight the importance of resource reuse and adopting agroecological practices to enhance autonomy and profitability in family farming systems in the Brazilian semiarid region.
