摘要
An eight-week comprehensive course focusing on the photocatalytic degradation of organic dye using a Pt-modified TiO2 photocatalyst was designed for undergraduate students. The course emphasized the acquisition of hands-on experience using modern techniques such as colorimetric analysis and rapid dye quantification via red/green/blue-based partial least-squares model. The integration of these methods enabled students to develop their experimental design, data interpretation, and scientific reporting skills while deepening their understanding of photochemical reactions, nanomaterials, and environmental chemistry. This comprehensive and quantitative approach to teaching photocatalysis moves beyond traditional "cookbook" laboratory experiments by fostering critical thinking and increasing student awareness of green chemistry and environmental protection. The positive feedback received from participants underscored the effectiveness of this innovative educational approach.
