摘要
The electronic voting (e-voting) system based on blockchain offers a convenient and secure platform for universities, enhancing overall integrity and accuracy. However, integrating existing platforms and sensors Positive data with blockchain-based e-voting poses challenges. Moreover, Managing a larger user base necessitates addressing latency and energy consumption constraints. To address these issues, we propose a new approach leveraging a consortium blockchain using smart contracts (SCs). In this study, we consider three types of entities within the university: professors, students, and administrators, who can vote and elect according to predefined rules in the SCs. These rules involve miners validating transactions using Proof of Work (PoW) and Proof of Stake (PoS). To ensure voter authenticity and data integrity, we utilize the ECDSA signature—nature and SHA-256 hash function, respectively. Our implementation results demonstrate that our proposed approach surpasses the state-of-the-art in scalability, execution time, and energy consumption.
