摘要
The Bi12SiO20 (BSO) ceramic was synthesized by cost effective chemical route. All the X-ray diffraction (XRD) peaks were well matched with JCPDS card No. 37-0485, which confirms the single phase formation of Bi12SiO20. BSO nanoparticles underwent dynamic light scattering (DLS) testing and displayed a secondary particle size averaging 428 +/- 10 nm, with an intensity of 98%. It was founded that the RhB dye was completely degraded within 55 min. The rate constant of the BSO catalyst is calculated from the linear fitting of the plot and was found to be min(-1). The dielectric constant value of BSO was found to be 450 at 500 degrees C and 1 kHz. The pseudo capacitive nature of the BSO ceramic material was confirmed by cyclic voltammetry and also the value of specific capacitance was found to be 56.25 F/g. A bandgap of 2.284 eV was obtained from the density functional theory (DFT).
