摘要
The development and study of a model of motion of a micropolar lubricant in the working gap of a modified design of a radial plain bearing are described. Modern computing systems and specialized software were used to conduct the modeling, which made it possible to increase significantly the accuracy and reliability of the results obtained. The results of this study showed that the modified design of the bearing with the applied polymer coating and groove significantly improves the performance characteristics. A reduction in the coefficient of friction and an increase in the bearing load capacity were noted compared to traditional designs. This has resulted in an increase in the service life of the bearing, which is important for industrial applications. A new approach to assessing the influence of the compressibility parameter of a modified radial plain bearing design is proposed, taking into account the dependence of the viscosity of a micropolar lubricant on the pressure and temperature under turbulent flow conditions.
