摘要
Objective Patients with hematological tumors frequently experience lower life satisfaction, highlighting the need to identify factors that can increase well-being. This research investigated the influence of family support on the life satisfaction of hematologic cancer patients, considering the mediating role of hope. Methods In this cross-sectional study, 322 patients with hematologic tumors completed a series of questionnaires on demographic information, family support, the hope index, and life satisfaction. A structural equation model is established to evaluate the mediating effect between variables. Results The structural equation model fits well. Family support significantly positively predicted hope and life satisfaction (beta = 0.54, p < 0.001; beta = 0.19, p < 0.01), and hope significantly positively predicted life satisfaction (beta = 0.45, p < 0.001). Conclusions A significant positive correlation was observed between the degree of family support and life satisfaction among patients with hematological tumors. Moreover, hope serves as a partial mediator in the connection between life satisfaction and family support for such patients, suggesting that family support indirectly impacts life satisfaction by nurturing hope.
