Chemical Looping Combustion Characteristics of Ningdong Coal Based on the Manganese Ore Oxygen Carrier

The gasification and combustion characteristics of Ningdong coal based on the manganese ore oxygen carrier(OC)were studied by a small bubbling fluidized bed reactor and calculation with the HSC Chemistry 6.0 software. Firstly; the combustion characteristics of Ningdong coal with different ratios manganese ore OC were analyzed by comparing simulation and experimental results. Secondly; the heat and mass balance of the FR-AR (Fuel reactor-air reactor) system was calculated by a modified dynamic model employing simulation results and experimental parameters. The results show that the data error of carbon conversion rate and gaseous products between the simulation and experiments is within a reasonable range. The manganese ore calcinated at 1173.15 K could greatly shorten the time required for coal gasification; and it has good reactivity with coal syngas. The FR-AR experiment system could realize the auto-thermal equilibrium. © 2020; Editorial Office of Acta Petrolei Sinica(Petroleum Processing Section). All right reserved;
