摘要：
Metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) technology presents an interesting problem to designers of microprocessors and single-board computers (SBCs): Today's processors are faster than the newest high-density memories. Static memories can provide fast access, but are expensive, power-hungry, and have small capacities compared to dynamic memories. An evaluation is presented of a special kind of computer memory called cache which can dramatically improve the overall performance of computer systems.
