Depending on the needs of the separation process, both filters and centrifuges offer benefits to CPI and often these coexist for achieving multiple separations. The article provides information about different types of centrifuges and highlights use of each of these for specific applications. It is important to know the basics of filtration and centrifugal separation in order to identify the best situations where centrifuges could be utilised to the fullest advantage and benefit.
