Influence of coal preparation for coking on coke properties

Process of producing the blast furnace coke at 'Krivorozhstal''' State Integrated Mining and Metallurgical Enterprise has been considered. During coal preparation for coking, grinding and mixing are performed. Investigations of preparation processes have been performed. Results of the investigations have shown that optimal degree of coal grinding is dependent on chemical composition of coal. Different grinding of various coals should be provided in order to produce high-quality coke. Express analysis of initial coals makes it possible to improve quality of produced coke. Opportunity for utilizing the wastes has been determined.
