摘要
A mathematical model of a textile tenter frame dryer has been used as a tool to improve tenter efficiency, reduce natural gas consumption, and lower fabric finishing costs in commercial finishing plants. The model consists of a set of equation which are solved by use of a digital computer, to obtain fabric temperature and moisture profiles along the length of the tenter. By using the model, experiments can be run quickly and easily on a computer with only the most promising conditions being tested in the plant. The model is described in detail, and model predictions are compared with actual plant data.
