The region of permissible operating regimes is considered for desynchronized synchronous (DS) machines utilized as generators, motors, and compensators as well as components of electromechanical frequency converters (EMFC). The permissible regimes are investigated in the P, Q, s coordinate system with allowance for the losses in the rotor core due to eddy currents with constraints on the permissible losses in the stator and rotor windings as well as in the rotor core. Possible rotor structures are considered for DS machines forming part of EMFC where their maximum slip does not exceed 2-4%.
