DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROJECT-EVALUATION PROGRAM: PEP.

Recently, industrial projects have increasingly been required to be analyzed and evaluated in line with the multiphasic nature of their features; to meet this requirement, IHI has developed four project-evaluation computer programs having very versatile applicability. These four programs link with one another, while keeping their respective individualities. In addition to the financial analysis, they are capable of a variety of analyses by means of the present-value method using a discount rate; moreover, the uncertainty of projects can also be evaluated by the use of the sensitivity analysis method. These programs enable projects to be analyzed relative to their contribution in utilization for foreign currencies.
