摘要
Stabilization of existing materials by introducing a stabilizing 'agent' increases load-bearing capacity, assists in repelling water and eliminates the need to transport more stable materials to the site. The most common stabilizing agents used in Australia are portland cement and line. Overseas methods include calcium chloride, bituminous emulsions, fly ash and various other chemicals and combinations.
