Water Chemistry in the Secondary Circuit of Steam Generators.

The author analyzes the chemical steps applied in order to diminish corrosion due to water present in materials used for the manufacture of heat exchange surfaces. He recalls the behavior in aqueous medium of the materials of the secondary loop and, after having given the characteristics of water used and the possible causes of damage, he describes the water conditioning applied in the different lines and their development in terms of difficulties encountered.
