The basic conditions required for the introduction of automation of electroplating processes are outlined. The profitable range of application of mechanization or automation of electroplating processes is estimated. An analysis is made of the use of uncontrollable or program-controlled automatic machines depending on the volume and kind of production. Development trends in the design and process features of electroplating equipment are reviewed.
