摘要
The operation of a discontinuous circulating-current HF cycloconverter was clarified and a method for the conduction angle control of the circulating current is suggested. The amplitudes of the high frequency sideband components were analyzed and confirmed by simulation and experiment. This control method can be applied to converters employing more than 3 pulses, but the width of the conducting angle is inversely proportional to the number of pulses and the high-frequency components increase so that the 3-pulse type suggested in the paper is considered to be best suited.
