摘要
The mechanical barrier function of non-load-bearing panels or partitions was analyzed. Materials evaluated included wood-base panels, mineral-base boards, and foamed plastics. Comparisons were made over a range of product densities. Mechanical solidity and rigidity, expressed as bending stiffness, is considered to be the most important property, followed by a measure of impact resistance, such as impact-breaking energy. Internal bond is considered to be important with respect to the assembling of panels.
