It is a pleasure for us to acknowledge the help and cooperation of many people during the time of design; setup and operation of ARCA and carrying out the experiments discussed. We like to thank W. Schorstein for the help in early design studies; Dr. M. Briigger for the help in designing and setting up many of the electronic components; and especially E. Schimpf whose technical support in designing and building many commercially not available components not only for ARCA but also for the target and recoil chamber was invaluable. It is a pleasure for us to thank Dr. J.M. Nitschke for discussions and important suggestions about many details of the target and recoil chamber. E. J~iger's help with the He(KC1)jet and all the setups at the accelerator is gratefully acknowledged. For the support from the Institut fiir Kernchemie of the University of Mainz; especially for building glass columns and providing us with tracer activities from irradiations with the Triga Reactor; we like to thank W. Zangi and Dr. N. Traut-mann. H. Folger and the staff from the GSI target laboratory provided us with all the excellent thin Au- coated carbon foils for sample preparation and foils for windows and target backings;
