摘要
The influence of iridium in Pt-lr bimetallic catalysts was studied by investigating the activity, selectivity and stability of platinum, iridium and platinum-iridium catalysts used for methylcyclopentane reforming. Addition of iridium modifies the dehydrogenation capacity of platinum, reducing coke deposition and increasing the formation of lower molecular weight hydrocarbons by hydrogenolysis. The undesired contribution of iridium is partially suppressed by coke deposition, which decreases the hydrogenolytic capacity and increases the production of aromatics. Iridium also accelerates coke removal.
