Surface waves in stratified periodic medium with the liquid upper layer

The approach to a construction of the dispersion equations is suggested for surface waves propagating in a periodically stratified half-space, contacting with a layer of an ideal compressible fluid. The approach is based on the Hamiltonian periodic systems formalism. The obtained dispersion equations are valid for arbitrary law of changing properties along the periodicity coordinate. The effect of fluid layer and inhomogeneity parameters of elastic medium on dispersion spectra of surface waves is studied.
