摘要：
This study describes a method for assessing the economic contribution of wind generators integrated into a utility system. Based on a Monte Carlo simulation, the method comprises detailed models for the wind, the load and the operation of a system comprising both hydro and thermal generating units. The approach is illustrated by means of three case studies: a purely thermal system and two mixed hydro-thermal systems, one with a predominant thermal component, the other with a predominant hydro component.
