Applied Materials is aiming to change the way equipment companies interact with users by offering to take over the management of inventory and system maintenance for its equipment, as well as guaranteeing cost savings. Applied Materials analyzes all the costs related to fabrication operation, including materials, labor, and capital equipment. It is estimated that, on average, 23% of the operating budget for a typical fabrication is spent on maintaining the manufacturing equipment.
