摘要
A solution of the problem for radial sliding bearings having regular surface microreliefs (RSM) is presented. Reynolds equation is solved taking into account the multiple generation and degeneration of voids in lubricated layer. Mechanism of this phenomenon results from RSM geometry and operation conditions. The pressure epure is found to be non-monotonic and can break-down into several regions. It is shown that in many cases RSM can reduce twofold or more hydrodynamic friction losses.
