摘要
Experimental exploration for reduction of diesel exhaust particulate emissions by means of filtration is reported. An exhaust particulate filter with a porous ceramic disc or cylinder as filtering element was used in experiments. Results indicated it is possible to reduce diesel particulate emission rate by more than 50% even by means of such a primitive prototype filter. Under exhaust temperatures higher than 450 degree C, increased filter resistance due to deposition of carbonaceous particles on filter element decreased rapidly because of cineration of deposits.
