The effect of variation in the thickness of the load-carrying layers on the state of stress and strain of a three-layered cylindrical shell is investigated by the finite element method using a three-layered rectangular finite element. An analysis of the presented graphic relations of dependence of the stress and strain parameters of the three-layered shell on the magnitude of thicknesses of the load-carrying layers is carried out.
