摘要
The possibility of a transition from a normal glow discharge to an arc, without the intermediate stage of an anomalous glow discharge, is studied. The theoretical results are compared with experimental data on observed transitions. The field in the glow discharge and the threshold current for the transition from the normal glow discharge to an arc are given as functions of the pressure.
