摘要
This paper describes the operation principle, design and characteristics of arrayed-waveguide grating wavelength multiplexers and also presents techniques for eliminating polarization dependence and flattening the spectral response. It is shown that the multiplexer can be used in practical WDM systems and applied to wavelength selective switches and multiwavelength devices.
