Nippon Kokan KK has completed new heat treatment facilities for the plate rolling mill at its Keihin Works, Japan. The new facilities, consisting of two heat-treating furnaces and a roller quench are designed for normalizing, quenching and tempering of plates. The major features of the facilities are described in this report.
