摘要
A cutting process has been developed to determine 2D-distributed residual stresses in sheet metal, such as those which arise after heating, straightening, and welding. In the process in question thin strips are first cut off from each side of square samples (approximately 100 mm multiplied by 100 mm). The residual stresses can then be deduced from the resilience measured at the center of the remaining sample. The initial measurement results and evaluations are based on the assumption of an axialsymmetrical stress distribution.
