摘要
The first stage of Victoria's 500-kv transmission network was commissioned in April, 1970. During commissioning, extensive tests were carried out to determine the performance of the system and equipment. The paper discusses the results of these tests and compares them with the values derived in designing the system and those guaranteed by the manufacturers of equipment. The tests carried out included system voltage control, specific factors relating to protective schemes, radio influence, circuit breaker performance in limiting overvoltage surges caused by switching operations and an assessment of the switching surge performance of the system.
