On the example of the production of seven castings of gray cast iron, it is shown that the costs of manual production of molds can be lowered 5% per mold by a system using cold setting sand instead of green sand, a continuous mixer, and division of labor. Costs per casting were reduced 10%, although molding sand costs were 35% higher.
