Forest products industry applauds energy report

American forest and paper industry applauded the Bush Administration's Energy Task Force report as a blueprint for sustainable economic growth and environmental protection. The report outlined a workable national energy strategy that assures access to a balanced mix of fuels, investment in the development of cleaner and energy-efficient technologies and energy conservation. The Task Force has recommended study of the widely critisized New Source Review program (NSR) of the Clean Air Act. This step is also welcomed by the industry.
