摘要
A program is furnished and described that may be used to find the three-dimensional time-harmonic electric or magnetic field in a volume containing linear, sourceless, isotropic materials with varying and lossy permittivity or permeability. The program employs the finite element method. In general it has application in cases for which the geometry does not permit a reduction in the dimension of the underlying three-dimensional differential equations. It may be used to find the field patterns and resonant frequencies of loaded cavities. It may also be used to solve a wide range of waveguide scattering problems, by first formulating them as loaded-cavity problems. An example of a two-port scattering problem is given including a subroutine.
