Optimization of the giant magnetoresistance observed in granular (CoFe)Ag alloys

We have optimized the giant magnetoresistance of coevaporated (CoFe)Ag alloys as a function of the nature of the substrate, the sample thickness and the alloy composition. The alloy-substrates adherence has been controlled with in situ resistance measurements. The observed variation of the coercive field with particle size suggests the existence of interparticle interactions.
