摘要
The author shows that drying by heat pump takes place at temperatures close to those in outdoor seasoning (low-temperature drying). This has a beneficial effect on the quality of the seasoned timber. An optimum drying rate is maintained by controlled dehumidification of the air in the compartment kiln. The result is that compared with high-temperature drying, the low drying temperature has no adverse effect on the duration of the drying process.
