摘要
The British Government had announced efficient noise monitoring arrangements and lower noise limits for aircraft departing from Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted. The new proposals which were implemented aimed to reduce the night time noise limit by 2 dBA and to implement the new daytime noise limit of 94 dBA. The reduction of 3 dB in the daytime limit represented a halving of noise energy but only a small reduction in loudness. Small reductions in noise for many of the overflown aircraft that took off from the above mentioned airports and substantial improvements in monitoring efficiency was also expected.
