The deformation of surrounding rock will certainly produce an axial force on adhesive bolts when they are embedded in the surrounding rock after a tunnel is excavated. Shear stress occurs in the surrounding rock, which supports the surrounding rock. A formula for calculating the axial force of the bolts based on boundary conditions of the anchored bolts is obtained by using Mindlin's solution. A numerical solution of shear stress in the surrounding rock and displacement of the anchored bolts is also obtained. This paper quotes the Mindlin integral solution by R. Muki and E. Sternbug in deducting the axial force of the anchored bolt.
